GAIL’s share of subsidy down by 44%

New Delhi, 30 December 2005 

The Government has notified today, the sharing of under-recoveries on sensitive petroleum products, by upstream and downstream companies.

GAIL’s share of the subsidy for the third quarter of the current fiscal is Rs. 206 Crores, which is 44% lower than its share of Rs. 369 Crores during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

The cumulative subsidy share of GAIL for the nine months period of the current financial year is Rs. 526 Crores as against Rs. 864 Crores during the corresponding period of the last financial year.
