New Delhi, December 28, 2004:
To help the victims of Tsunami disaster, Maruti Udyog Limited has announced a contribution of Rs One Crore to The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. In addition, Maruti employees have pledged one day’s salary to help the victims of the tragedy.
Managing Director of Maruti Udyog Limited Jagdish Khattar said, “The nation is numb with grief. All sections of society, notably the corporate sector, have to now join the government’s efforts to provide relief and rehabilitation. Maruti and its employees have taken a small step towards that.”
