Dr. Kamalesh Chandra Chakrabarty has joined Punjab National bank (PNB) as its Executive Director. Earlier, he was General Manager in Bank of Baroda looking after the areas of Risk Management, Credit Audit and Corporate Accounts. He was also Chief Executive of Bank’s UK operations at London responsible for overall management, planning, supervision and control of Bank’s branches operating in UK. 

Dr. Chakrabarty, a Gold Medalist in M.Sc. (Statistics), did his Ph.D. in Statistics from BHU, Varanasi. He joined Bank of Baroda as Planning Officer in 1978 and has risen to the post of Executive Director in a short span. He held important positions in Bank of Baroda. He was Incharge of Bank’s corporate planning, MIS, Economic research and IT departments. He also headed resource management function at corporate office, Mumbai. Integrated treasury function and Bank’s corporate risk management function.
