SAIL R&D UNIT BAGS NATIONAL AWARD

New Delhi, August 13, 2004

SAIL’s Research & Development Centre for Iron & Steel (RDCIS) has won the Golden Peacock Innovation Award-2004. RDCIS has been chosen for this national-level award – instituted by the Institute of Directors (IOD), a premier organisation focusing on management issues at the board level, and World Environment Foundation (WEF) – for its innovative contributions in the field of iron & steel technology.

The award will be presented on 20th August 2004 in New Delhi during the 15th foundation day celebrations of IOD. The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, is expected to present the award.
