Engineers get French Scholarhips
New Delhi, April 28, 2008
Embassy of France in association with ALTEN & Kishnakriti
Foundation have conferred scholarships to 16 Indian engineers
and 3 artists.
Speaking on the occasion the French Ambassador Jerome
Bonnafont said that there is a lot of scope in cooperation
between India and France in the field of education and this
step will further enhance bilaterial ties.
He said that the French President has set an ambitious
target to increase the scholarships by 3 times in the coming 3
years.
Speaking to Sarkaritel.com ALTEN CEO Philippe Carette said
the French and Indian companies are constantly facing fresh
challenges and this initiative of ALTEN is to provide skill
talents from India to world markets. The focus would be to
provide trained engineers to international markets.
Vigorous process for the scholarship program was initiated
with around 100 engineering students were shortlisted from
cities like Mumbai, Bangaluru, Delhi and Thiruanantpuram.
